Celebrate Dominican Independence Day 2015
February 21, 2015
The Dominican community is one of the most thriving communities in the city of Boston! They have created a space for themselves where they've become an important part of Boston and America. They've also managed to maintain their culture and traditions very alive! On Friday, February 27th, Dominicans here and all over the world will be celebrating the 171st Anniversary of Dominican Republic's Independence! On this edition of Centro, we tell you about some of the events that are taking place in Boston, commemorating this special day. WBZ's Yadires Nova-Salcedo talks with Oscar Guerrero, from the non-profit organization FUNDOARCU, whose mission is to preserve Dominican art, culture and traditions. Tune in!
