Woman Found Dead At Cape Cod Rest Stop Was Stabbed, Shot Multiple Times
HYANNIS (CBS) -- Authorities have identified the woman found dead at a Route 6 rest area on Cape Cod.
Cape & Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe and the Barnstable police chief said the victim was 28-year-old Christine Ferreira of Hyannis.
A driver discovered her body at the rest stop between Exit 6 and 7 at about 4 a.m. on Saturday.
An autopsy revealed that Ferreira "died from multiple stabbing injuries and multiple gunshot wounds," officials said.
No other details were released, and police are still investigating.
