Caitlyn Jenner Offers Support For Proposed Mass. Transgender Rights Bill
BOSTON (CBS) – One of the most recognizable faces in the transgender community joined a campaign asking Massachusetts residents to support a bill aimed at preventing discrimination.
Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey shared a video message from Caitlyn Jenner, the reality star and former Olympic gold medal winner.

"Transgender people and their families have been fighting for equality all across this country," Jenner said in the video, posted on Twitter.
In her own video, Healey said the bill would protect transgender people against harassment in public places.

Healey urged residents to share their support for the bill by using the hashtag #EveryoneWelcome.
Celtics co-owner Steve Pagliuca, Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron and retired U.S. women's soccer player Abby Wambach also recorded videos supporting the campaign.
"No one should be called names, denied service or attacked simply because they are transgender," Jenner said. "That's why this bill is so important - because everyone should be welcomed in the great state of Massachusetts."
