Bruins Recall Spooner, Send Subban To Providence
BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Bruins have recalled forward Ryan Spooner from Providence and sent down goaltender Malcolm Subban to Providence on Saturday.
Boston announced the move Saturday night.
Spooner will join the Bruins Saturday night in Chicago.
He will be available to play against the Chicago Blackhawks Sunday night.
The forward has played five games for the Bruins this season. He has tallied 11 assists in 32 career games.
Subban, 21, who has compiled a 10-10-3 record for Providence this season, struggled in his debut for Boston Friday night against the St. Louis Blues.
After holding the Blues scoreless in the first period, the rookie goaltender allowed multiple goals in the second and was later replaced in the period.
The Bruins lost 5-1 against the Blues.
