Bruins Morning Skate: Lucic With Spooner, Fraser

BOSTON (CBS) --  With front-line center David Krejci out until next week, the Boston Bruins will be forced to change up their lines a bit as they begin the 2014-15 NHL season.

Boston's top-line was already going to change with Jarome Iginla in Colorado, and it was expected that Loui Eriksson would line up with Krejci and Milan Lucic to start the season. But with Krejci out, it appears that Boston's second line will get top billing for Wednesday night's season opener against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Here are the lines from Boston's Wednesday morning skate:

Brad Marchand – Patrice Bergeron – Reilly Smith
Chris Kelly – Carl Soderberg – Loui Eriksson
Milan Lucic – Ryan Spooner – Matt Fraser
Daniel Paille – Craig Cunningham – Bobby Robins

Krejci is expected to miss up to three games with an undisclosed injury he suffered in Boston's preseason finale on Saturday. He was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday, and is not eligible to return to the lineup until Monday's afternoon tilt against the Avalanche.

That leaves Lucic, who netted 24 goals for Boston last season, with a pair of young forwards in Spooner and Fraser. Spooner played in 23 games for Boston last season, recording 11 assists, while Fraser appeared in 14 games, netting two goals. Fraser has 27 NHL games over his three-year career, with 13 of those coming as a member of the Dallas Stars before being acquired by Boston in 2013's Tyler Seguin trade.

As for their defensive pairings, Zdeno Chara and Dougie Hamilton were paired together in the morning skate, with Dennis Seidenberg skating with Adam McQuaid and Torey Krug matched with Kevan Miller.
