Claude Julien Not Worried About Miller, Pastrnak Injuries; Removed As 'Precaution'

BOSTON (CBS) -- Both Kevan Miller and David Pastrnak exited the Bruins' 6-0 win over the Arizona Coyotes early with injuries, but head coach Claude Julien said after the game that the injuries are minor.

Miller went to the locker room after taking an awkward spill into the boards, and briefly returned before sitting out the third period. Pastrnak took a puck to the foot and continued to play, before Julien removed him shortly after Brett Connolly extended the Bruins' lead to 4-0.

The coach did not sound worried about either player, saying it wasn't necessary to keep them on the ice with the game well in hand in the third period.

"We took [Miller] out more as a precaution because of the score," Julien said. "And Pastrnak got hit with a shot so at that stage we didn't want to risk anything more than we needed to, so we sent those guys to the room."

For now it sounds like Miller and Pastrnak will not miss any time, but further news on their injuries is still pending. It sounds like they will be day-to-day at worst.
