Brookline Candy Store Selling Rare Toys And Cards After Beloved Owner's Death
BROOKLINE (CBS) -- A Brookline candy store that was a staple of the neighborhood for 76 years will hold a one-time, pop-up sale of its remaining inventory, eight months after the store's beloved owner passed away.
Ethel Weiss ran Irving's Toy & Card Shop on Harvard Street from 1939 up until her death last winter at age 101.
According to a press release, the sale will be held on Labor Day weekend and will feature "rare and unusual vintage toys and cards."

The sale will be conducted by Weiss's daughter, Anita Jamison, who has been curating the store's remaining inventory and sharing photos on Facebook.
The proceeds from the sale will go to the Parent-Teacher Organization at the Edward Devotion Elementary School in Brookline, and any merchandise left unsold will be donated to charity.
