Brock Holt To Re-Join Red Sox Friday, Resume Baseball Activities

BOSTON (CBS) -- As Brock Holt continues to recover from a mild concussion suffered in mid-May, the Red Sox outfielder will re-join the team Friday in Minnesota and plans to resume baseball activities this weekend.

Manager John Farrell wouldn't say whether Holt would be ready for a rehab assignment soon, but that he is improving upon a mild concussion that has taken longer than expected to heal.

"The [concussion] symptoms are there but they're diminishing," Farrell told Rick Eymer of MLB.com.

Holt is currently visiting a concussion specialist in Pittsburgh, but will be in the Red Sox dugout as they take on the Twins at Target Field in Minneapolis.
