Bridgewater Pedestrian Killed In Accident
BRIDGEWATER (CBS) -- A 68-year-old pedestrian has died after she was hit by a van while trying to cross a Bridgewater street Monday morning, police said.
Roberta Harris of Bridgewater died from her injuries at Brockton Hospital, according to police.
Police said a 2003 Ford Van was making a left turn out of a Walgreens parking lot when it hit the pedestrian attempting to cross Summer Street. The pedestrian was in the road and not in a crosswalk when she was struck, police said.
Police said the van driver was 58-year-old Robert Duke of Bridgewater. He has not been charged at this time and the crash is under investigation, police said.
