Brewster Turkey Crashes Through Truck Windshield
BREWSTER (CBS) – A driver and turkey escaped serious injury Thursday afternoon after the wild bird came crashing through a truck windshield in Brewster.
Kyle Douglas of Eastham suffered minor cuts on his arm after a turkey crashed through the driver's side windshield of his MAC Tools box truck around 4:30 p.m. on Route 6.
Brewster firefighters treated Douglas' injuries at the scene.
After crashing into the truck, the turkey was able to escape and scamper off into the woods along the highway.
Police said a growing population of wild turkeys is becoming a problem as more are being hit on roadways by drivers.
