Boston, Worcester smash record lows for Saturday with negative double digit temperatures
BOSTON – Record cold on Saturday morning! Both Boston and Worcester smashed their record lows for the day, and Boston got down into the negative double digits, the first time since the 1950s.
Boston recorded a low of -10° F which breaks the old record low for the day of -2° F set back in 1886. It also hasn't been that cold in the city since 1957 when Boston got down to -12° F.
Worcester got down to -13°F which broke an old record low for today of -4° set back in 1934.
Also of note, Nantucket tied their all-time record low of -3°, it was the coldest morning it's been there since 1948!

Temperatures will rebound for the second half of the weekend as warmer air comes in on SW winds.
Most towns Sunday morning will wake up a good 30 degrees warmer than this morning in the 20s and low 30s with temperatures continuing to climb above average into the mid to upper 40s.
