School bus involved in crash on Riverway in Boston

BOSTON – A Boston Public Schools bus with students on board was involved in a crash Tuesday morning.

It happened on the Riverway in Boston just before 8 a.m.

Massachusetts State Police said the bus crashed into a 2023 Toyota Camry and three unoccupied parked cars.

A 51-year-old Brockton woman who was a passenger in the Camry was taken to Beth Israel Medical Deaconess with minor injuries. The 65-year-old Taunton man who was driving the car was not hurt.

Two students, 15 and 17 years old, were on the bus. Both were evaluated and medically cleared at at the scene. The bus driver, a 53-year-old Dorchester woman was also evaluated, but not hurt.

Massachusetts State Police said the bus and a Tesla that was parked when it was hit were both towed from the scene.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
