Boston Police Commissioner Runs Houston Marathon
BOSTON (CBS) -- Boston Police Commissioner William Evans traveled to Texas to complete the Houston Marathon Sunday.
The commissioner ran the marathon as a member of Team MR8, the official running team of the Martin Richard Foundation. Evans has run with the team, wearing a shirt honoring Martin Richard's memory, in every marathon he has run since the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings.
Evans, 57, finished the marathon in three hours, thirty-nine minutes, and thirty-seven seconds. It was the 49th marathon that Evans has finished.
