Boston Marathon weather forecast - rain, windy and chilly
By Terry Eliasen, WBZ-TV Meteorologist, Executive Weather Producer
BOSTON - Happy Marathon Monday!
So much going on in the City of Boston today, from Hopkinton to Boston to Fenway and then tonight at the Garden!
And, as you would expect, in typical April fashion, we have a gloomy, damp day.
Conditions will basically be the same throughout the race from town to town today.
SKY CONDITIONS:
Cloudy. Overcast. Grey.
TEMPERATURES:
Low to mid 50s in all of eastern MA.
WINDS:
East to southeast 5-15mph (onshore)
RAIN:
Mainly light and spotty, although there will be a few decent rain showers this afternoon.
For the Sox game at Fenway today, more of the same. Cloudy, cool, few sprinkles at times. They shouldn't have any problems getting the game in.
And if you are headed into the City tonight for Bruins game 1...the showers will be tapering off and skies will be gradually clearing.
The rest of this week looks mostly dry and fairly seasonal...next chance of any significant rainfall comes Saturday.
