No Arrests Made At 2016 Boston Marathon, Police Say
BOSTON (CBS) – The thousands of people who came out to watch the Boston Marathon may not have ran 26.2 miles on Monday, but police say they should give themselves a pat on the back anyway.
Boston Police Commissioner William Evans told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 that there were no arrests or citations issued on race day, and said the crowd was very cooperative.

"Speaking to my officers, we couldn't have asked for a better-behaved crowd," he said. "All-in-all a super day."

Three years after the deadly attack at the finish line, Marathon Monday saw 5,000 law enforcement officers from various agencies along the route, as well as enhanced security checkpoints and dozens of surveillance cameras.
Police said despite the huge number of people at the event, there were no security incidents.
