2 Arrested In Cocaine Bust At Boston's Logan Airport
BOSTON (AP) — Massachusetts State Police say two Pennsylvania men have been arrested on a charge of cocaine trafficking at Logan International Airport.
Police say the two arrived Saturday in Boston from Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.
While going through customs, a bag belonging to 19-year-old Ezra Mendez, of Allentown, was found to have an abnormality and was searched. Police say they found two wrapped packages in the bag's liner that tested positive for cocaine.
Shortly afterward, police say 25-year-old Erick Dominguez-Santos, of Allentown, appeared nervous during the screening process. They say his nearly identical bag contained two packages of cocaine also hidden in the liner.
The weight of the cocaine in each bag was estimated at 3 kilograms.
The two are being held without bail and couldn't be reached for comment.
