Flames Break Out At Abandoned Brighton Building
BOSTON (CBS) – Firefighters knocked down an early morning fire at a vacant Brighton building on Tuesday.
The building, which has been vacant for about 15 years, is located at the corner of Western Ave. and Soldiers Field Road.
According to the Boston Fire Department, the 2.5-story wood frame building is a Department of Conservation and Recreation property.
The flames were knocked down within two hours.
An estimated $250,000 worth of damage was done by the fire.
It is unclear what sparked the blaze, though it appears the flames started outside the vacant building.
