Boston Police Arrest 3 In Christmas Day Armed Home Invasion

BOSTON (CBS) – Police arrested three people following an armed home invasion on Christmas Day in Boston.

Around 6:30 a.m. on Christmas, officers were called to a breaking and entering on Saratoga Street.

When police arrived, they found the front door leading to a common area had been forced in.

Officers who entered the apartment found three men. One of them had a bat and another was wielding a 4-inch folding knife.

The suspects dropped their weapons when police drew their guns, but one suspect allegedly tried to duck out of sight.

Following a brief struggle, police arrested all three men.

The residents told police they heard banging on the front door and ran to the second floor apartment before the men were able to gain entry.

Jose Venture, 23, Jeremy Ventura, 20, and 33-year-old Francisco Ramirez were arrested and charged with armed home invasion and destruction of property.

The three men will be arraigned Monday in East Boston District Court.
