BOSTON (CBS) – Boston has vaulted into a first place tie in the Atlantic Division thanks to a string of wins versus stiff competition, including an overtime win Tuesday against Tampa Bay. But what should Bruins fans make of the recent hot streak?

After Brad Marchand's overtime goal gave the Bruins a 1-0 win over the Lightning, the team has now gone 3-0-1 against Chicago, Washington, Florida and Tampa – four teams in the thick of the playoff race.
Zolak & Bertrand said that while the recent stretch gives hope that the team can make a playoff run, it's too soon to make that judgement.
"They've done this before, to caution you," Scott Zolak warned Bruins fans, pointing out the team's inconsistent play throughout much of the season.
Marc Bertrand said the real test comes next week as the team embarks on a west coast swing.
After hosting Carolina on Thursday and the Islanders on Saturday, the Bruins travel to face the San Jose Sharks, Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings in a span of five days.
"They've got to take two of three for me to buy in," Bertrand said. "They've got to win two of those games, two of those games out west against bigtime teams that are obviously having good years. If they take two out of three out there, Zo I'm buying in on them being a team that gets out of the first round."
Zolak added that with a limited amount of regular season games on the schedule, now is the time for the Bruins to prove to fans they're the real deal.
"It's 10-15 games left and every single one matters," Zolak said.
"After the Blackhawks game I said I need to see more. And they've shown more."
