Bogans Excused From Celtics Indefinitely For Personal Reasons
BOSTON (CBS) - Boston Celtics guard Keith Bogans has been excused from the team indefinitely due to personal reasons, the team announced on Tuesday.
Bogans has been at the bottom of the Celtics' depth chart since being acquired from the Brooklyn Nets in the Paul Pierce/Kevin Garnett trade over the summer. The 33-year-old has played just 55 minutes in six appearances this season, and was not present at practice on Tuesday.

While he embraced his role of a leader on a young roster, Bogans also complained about his lack of playing time during the season. The last time he played was in Boston's 129-98 loss to the Denver Nuggets on January 7, scoring nine points in 13 minutes of action in the blowout loss.
The Celtics are Bogans' ninth team in 11 NBA seasons. He is making $5.1 million this season, all guaranteed, but the final two years of his contract are non-guaranteed.
