Body Pulled From Water Off Nahant

NAHANT (CBS) – A body was pulled from the water off Nahant on Thursday afternoon.

Firefighters were unsuccessful in their attempts to revive the person using CPR.

Several residents on the coast called authorities at around 11:55 a.m. and reported a small power boat running in the water but with nobody in it.

Only a couple of fishing rods were in the boat.

The U.S. Coast Guard located the body after an hour of searching with its helicopter and other boats.

Firefighters pulled the person into their rescue boat, according to Firefighter Jonathan Tibbo.

No other information is available at this point in the investigation.
