Body Found On East Boston Beach

BOSTON (CBS) – State Police are investigating an apparent stabbing after a body was found on an East Boston beach Monday morning.

A mother and father brought their two children to Constitution Beach on Labor Day hoping to get a view of Air Force One landing across the water as President Obama arrived for a speaking engagement.

Instead, the family discovered a man believed to be in his 20s on the beach, dead with what appeared to be stab wounds, people who were at the scene told WBZ-TV's Ken MacLeod.

Police have not yet confirmed the cause of death or identified the victim, but say he had injuries consistent with stab wounds.

The body was found between the beach and the East Boston Yacht Club.

Massachusetts State Police and the Suffolk District Attorney's office are investigating the man's death.
