Keller @ Large: New Generation Of Black Leaders Emerging

BOSTON (CBS) -- These days, it's harder to argue that America isn't talking enough about race.

But has the conversation been productive? Urban League of Eastern Mass. CEO Darnell Williams sat down with WBZ political analyst Jon Keller to say that it has been.

"I think the discussions that are happening now between Black Lives Matter and the protests on college campuses, it's a very productive way for us to exercise democracy," Williams said.

Williams says the current movement shows that a new generation of black leaders is emerging.

"When you look at what's happening at the grassroots levels, you're looking at this generation of millennials that's getting engaged," he said. "To see that this generation is taking the mantle or taking the torch from us and now leading, it's just really refreshing."

Keller and Williams also discussed about the controversial tactics of some of the protesters, and the 2016 presidential race.
