Bill Cosby Show In Worcester Canceled

BOSTON (AP) — One of comedian Bill Cosby's upcoming Massachusetts shows has been canceled.

Officials at the Hanover Theatre in Worcester say the promoter of the stand-up comedy show scheduled for Feb. 6 came to an agreement with Cosby's agent to cancel.

Hanover President and Chief Executive Officer Troy Siebels tells The Telegram & Gazette that 1,300 tickets had been sold for the Cosby show in a venue that seats 2,300.

The 77-year-old Cosby is facing sexual assault allegations from more than 15 women, with some dating back decades. He has denied the allegations through his lawyer and has never been charged.

Cosby's recent appearances have drawn protesters.

Two shows at Boston's 1,200-seat Wilbur Theatre on Feb. 8 are expected to go on as scheduled.

Cosby has a home in western Massachusetts.
