Bertrand On Greg Hardy: Have The Cowboys No Shame?
BOSTON (CBS) - Pass rusher Greg Hardy has found a new home in the National Football League, and it's in Dallas with the Cowboys.
You just knew that given his talent he would eventually sign somewhere, despite his horrific off the field incident involving then-girlfriend Nicole Holder.
According to the account, "Hardy flung her from the bed, threw her into a bathtub, then tossed her on a futon covered with rifles." He also "ripped a necklace he had given her off her neck, threw it into a toilet and slammed the lid on her arm when she tried to fish it out."
Just awful.
On Thursday, 98.5 The Sports Hub's Marc Bertrand and Rich Keefe (filling in for Scott Zolak) called Jerry Jones and his whole operation shameless.
"The moral compass in Texas is off to begin with," Beetle began. "But beyond that, the Cowboys didn't just sign him yesterday. No. They took it to typical DB owner levels in the NFL, is what they did."
"They're bringing this guy in as one of the highest paid players at the position," Keefe added in disbelief. "I know so much of the attention last year went to Ray Rice because of the video we all saw. But if you look into what happened with Greg Hardy, and it doesn't take too many Googles to do so, [it's awful]."
Hardy awaits discipline from the league as he remains on the exempt/commissioner's permission list.
