Bergeron, Chara Among Bruins Expected To Make Preseason Debut Wednesday
BOSTON (CBS) -- A handful of Bruins will make their preseason debuts Wednesday night when Boston takes on the Washington Capitals at the TD Garden.
After sitting out Tuesday night's preseason opener, a 3-2 loss to the Canadiens in Montreal, Patrice Bergeron, Zdeno Chara and Tuukka Rask are among the B's expected to make their exhibition debuts against the Capitals.
Here is the expected roster, via the Bruins, which is subject to change ahead of game-time:
Forwards: Patrice Bergeron, Alex Fallstrom, Justin Florek, Simon Gagne, Seth Griffith, Bracken Kearns, Alexander Khokhlachev, Jared Knight, Ville Leino, Matt Lindblad, Brad Marchand, Ryan Spooner
Defensemen: Matt Bartkowski, Chris Breen, Zdeno Chara, Dougie Hamilton, Adam McQuaid, Zach Trotman
Goaltenders: Tuukka Rask, Jeremy Smith
David Krejci and Loui Eriksson both took part in Wednesday's morning skate, but are expected to get the evening off. Ryan Spooner, who scored one of Boston's two goals on Tuesday, and Simon Gagne were both absent from the skate, but as expected to play against Washington.
