Barber Shop Owner Fatally Stabbed In Dorchester

DORCHESTER (CBS) -- Police are investigating a fatal stabbing in Dorchester that occurred Friday night.

Officers responded to Adam Street at about 6:20p.m. and found a man lying on the street suffering from stab wounds. Police said the man had also been struck by an MBTA bus. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators have not identified the victim, but people in the area said he was the owner of a nearby barber shop.

Friends of Sean Dwyer, 29, told WBZ-TV's Julie Loncich that he opened the shop just nine months ago.

Cheryl Jones came to know Dwyer well in the year he spent renovating his business.

"I just can't believe it. He's a good kid," Jones said. "When he first came here he was giving out free haircuts to the kids, school haircuts. He was trying to fit into the community."

No arrests have been made.
