Body Found Off I-290 In Auburn Identified
AUBURN (CBS) – Authorities have identified the body found off I-290 in Auburn on Tuesday morning.
David T. LaRoche, 48, was discovered by relatives who had been searching for him near the 2.4 mile marker, Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr., announced Wednesday.
"He was found at the bottom of a steep, 50-foot embankment among frozen trees and ice covered brush," Early said in a statement.
Officials say Laroche had exited a car in the breakdown lane of the highway late Monday night.
Officials initially said LaRoche was an Oxford resident, but later clarified he had most recently been living with family in Florida.
State and local police are still investigating.
