Around The League With Greg Bedard: NFC West Best Division In NFL

BOSTON (CBS) - Wiggy is long gone on 98.5 The Sports Hub's Felger & Mazz show, but luckily we have TheMMQB.com's Greg Bedard to fill the void.

While it's nearly impossible to re-create 10 Questions With Wiggy, the guys have the next best thing with Around The League With Greg Bedard. The guys got Bedard's take on each of the following topics, complete with a fantastic buzzer to let them know when time was up!

Here are the questions for Bedard:

- Give me your thoughts on Eagles quarterback Marc Sanchez through two games.

"He's still the same guy [he was with the Jets]. He needs a good running game and he needs a good defense. If he gets behind the chains, behind the scoreboard -- forget it. He's going to throw the game away."

- What's the best division in football?

"In my opinion, top to bottom it's the NFC West. From the Cardinals to the Rams, any of those teams can beat anybody in the league. The AFC North are four teams slightly above average. They all can beat anybody, but they could also lose to the Raiders."

- Do you believe the NFL playoff system should be changed? If so, in what way?

"This year is making me re-think it because of how bad the NFC South is. As of today the Packers would be going to Atlanta, and they'd probably be a 13-point favorite. I do think it needs to be changed, but how you do that is really tough because everybody plays such different schedules. It's pretty much a lock they're adding an extra wild card to each conference next year."

- If Arizona makes the Super Bowl, do you believe they will have a true homefield advantage?

"It certainly wouldn't hurt. I think there would be some advantage, but it wouldn't be like a home playoff game because Super Bowl tickets get widely distributed between all the corporate sponsors and stuff. Being at home, having all the comforts of home and not having to be in a foreign place for a week? Yeah I think it'd be an advantage."

- Did Ryan Mallett show first round arm talent this past week?

"As far as arm talent he showed exactly what we've seen, and yes that's first round arm talent. I thought he looked better. He played pretty well and he showed a few things I haven't seen from him. He made some big throws. I thought he played well and I'm interested to see how he does. It was promising."

- What was going on with those DEA pill raids?

"I had one former team doctor tell me, 'I'd love to share the story but I can't because it involves me taking drugs on the road when I'm not supposed to' -- that's against the law. I think the DEA was just tapping the NFL on the shoulder like, 'Hey, we're here. You can't just do everything you want to do.'"
