Army Recruiter Charged With Possession Of Child Porn In Keene

KEENE, N.H. (CBS) -- Keene Police arrested a U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Tuesday who they say possessed child pornography.

Andrew Beezub, who is currently stationed in Keene as an Army recruiter, was charged with the possession of child sexual abuse images, a felony-level offense. He was released on $2,500 bail.

Police said they received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on February 12 that a Keene resident was accessing child porn online. They acted along with the New Hampshire Attorney General's office to issue subpoenas that police said identified the user as Beezub.

Search warrants for Beezub, his home, and his vehicle were executed last Thursday, and authorities seized several electronic devices on which they say child pornography was found.

Beezub is required to have no unsupervised contact with anyone under 18 as part of the conditions of his bail release.

The case is still under investigation. Beezub is due in Cheshire Superior Court April 21 for his arraignment.
