AMC Theaters Showing Election Night Results On Big Screen

BOSTON (CBS) - - Want to watch a historic evening unfold on the big screen?

AMC is devoting some of its theaters to election night coverage on Nov. 8. In Massachusetts, Democrats can watch the results roll in with like-minded viewers at the "blue" theater at Somerville's AMC Assembly Row 12, while a "red" theater will be available for the right-leaning folks at AMC Framingham 16.

The AMC event is exclusively for "Stubs" members, which is a rewards program that is free to join.

The theater is also advertising a red, white and blue cocktail called the "Star-Spangled Sipper" to get viewers in a patriotic mood.

Or, if you want to take a break from current events on what could be a stressful evening, Regal Cinemas is offerings something completely different.

Regal is promoting an "Escape To The Movies" show on election night – theaters in Boston, Kingston and Taunton will be showing "Air Force One." Tickets for that event are $5.
