Bombing Survivor Adrianne Haslet Finishes Boston Marathon
BOSTON (CBS) -- Adrianne Haslet, a professional dancer who lost a leg in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings, finished the race on a prosthetic this year.
"I feel amazing," Haslet said after she crossed the finish line with her team. "It's really emotional because I think of all of the definitions that this finish line has held."
On Twitter, President Barack Obama acknowledged Haslet's accomplishment.
"Thank you, Adrianne, for being Boston Strong," President Obama said. "Terror and bombs can't beat us. We carry on. We finish the race!"

Haslet says she received support all along the 26.2 mile route.
"Not only the crowd, but the runners too were encouraging, so supportive," she said.
Earlier in the day, she got a message of support on Facebook from none other than Tom Brady, who called her his inspiration.

Haslet left the Hopkinton starting line just before 9 a.m. and crossed the finish line on Boylston Street at about 7:15 p.m.

Early on in the race, Haslet had to stop due to unexpected leg swelling, but managed to finish the race with the help of her "pit crew."
Haslet, who said that running "was torture" for her in the past, ran the race to support Limbs For Life.
