Butler Among 7 Patriots Selected To Pro Bowl

FOXBORO (CBS) – Seven members of the Patriots have been selected to the 2016 NFL Pro Bowl.

Quarterback Tom Brady, CB Malcolm Butler, LB Jamie Collins, K Stephen Gostkowski, TE Rob Gronkowski, DE Chandler Jones and Matthew Slater (special teams) made the squad.

Brady has been named to the Pro Bowl a franchise record 11 times in his 16 year career.

Butler, Collins and Jones were selected for the first time in their careers.

This is the fourth Pro Bowl selection for both Gostkowski and Gronkowski.

Special teams captain Matthew Slater earned his fifth consecutive Pro Bowl selection.

The Patriots have had at least five players selected to the Pro Bowl in each of the last seven seasons.

The Pro Bowl will be played on Sun. Jan. 31, 2016 a week before Super Bowl 50.
