State Police say one tractor-trailer driven by a woman rear-ended a flatbed tractor-trailer driven by a man near Exit 10 in the eastbound lanes just before 2:30 a.m.

The woman, who is 59-years old and from New Jersey, was trapped in the truck's cab.  Once she was pulled out, she was rushed to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester with life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The man, a 57-year-old from Virginia, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Their names have not been made public.

State Police later said a Toyota Rav 4 was also involved in the crash, but no one in that SUV was hurt.

The wreck and the cleanup blocked all but one lane of the eastbound side of the highway for several hours.

All lanes re-opened to traffic just after 7:30 a.m.
