2 Inmates Escape Correctional Center In Lawrence

LAWRENCE (CBS) -- Authorities are looking for two men who walked away from a minimum security correctional facility in Lawrence.

Manuel Perez, 22, and Levi Montalvo, 23, both of Puerto Rico, were reported missing from the Lawrence Correctional Alternative Center around 2p.m. Wednesday.

Both are inmates awaiting trial for different crimes. Perez is facing multiple charges related to vehicle theft. Montalvo is accused of violating a restraining order.

Authorities say Perez has several tattoos on his left and right hands and forearms including the Puerto Rican flag on his right hand. Montalvo has tattoos of skulls on his abdomen, back, and left arm.
