Elderly Couple Hit By Car While Walking In Saugus Crosswalk

SAUGUS (CBS) -- Two people have been badly injured after they were hit by a car while walking in a crosswalk in Saugus.
The victims, an elderly couple, are alive but seriously hurt.
"The sustained substantial trauma," Saugus Police Lt. Lt Ron Giogetti said.
The driver, an 80-year-old man, stopped down the street. Police say he was so distraught he too was taken to the hospital.
No other information has been released.
