2 Charged In Death Of Man Whose Body Was Under Cement

BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (AP) — Police say two people who lived at a Rhode Island house where the body of a Massachusetts man was found buried under concrete are facing murder charges in his death.

The body of 60-year-old Domingo Ortiz of Worcester was found Friday under newly laid concrete beneath an outside deck. He had been missing since May 5, when he was last seen at the house in Burrillville.

Burrillville police said 40-year-old Michelle Morin was arrested in Worcester, Massachusetts, late Saturday. Police said the second suspect, 39-year-old Steven Pietrovicz, is held at the Adult Correctional Institutions in Cranston on a domestic assault charge.

Morin is expected to have an extradition hearing Monday in Worcester. Pietrowicz is to be arraigned Monday in Providence on the murder charge.

It's not known if they have attorneys to comment on the charges.
