2 Boston Police Officers Put On Leave After Sexual Harassment Allegations
BOSTON (CBS) - Two Boston police officers have been put on paid administrative leave while the department investigates separate sexual harassment claims, a spokesman told the Boston Globe in a report Thursday.
Captain Timothy J. Murray, 57, and Lieutenant Stephen Cawley, 54, were placed on leave Wednesday and Monday, respectively, Officer James Kenneally told the Globe.
The Globe reports that Murray, an officer with the department since 1983, works for the police details section, while Cawley, hired in 1986, is assigned to the evidence unit.
A law enforcement official who was familiar with the claims told the Globe that Murray and Cawley are both accused of sexual harassment against female department employees.
