2 Boston Police Officers On Paid Leave After Releasing Suspect

BOSTON (CBS) - Two Boston Police officers are on paid leave after letting a suspect go earlier this month.

It happened February 17. The suspect was in custody in the back of a cruiser when he was released without charges.

The officers on leave are Royce Veal and Anthony Handleman-Smith.

The police department says an internal investigation is underway.

No other information was released.
