16-Year-Old Boy Shot, Killed In Dorchester

BOSTON (CBS) - A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed while riding his bike in Dorchester Wednesday night.

The shooting happened at the intersection of Fuller and Washington Street at about 8:00 p.m.

The teen was shot multiple times. Police say the shooting was not random.

"We can't tolerate this type of violence," Police Commissioner William Evans said. "People should be outraged about this."

Two young men wearing sweatshirts were seen fleeing the area after the shooting. No arrests have been made.

Police are asking for the public's help. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-494 TIPS or text 'TIP' to CRIME (27463).

The shooting is the city's eleventh homicide of the year.
