$15K Bail For Former Youth Football Coach Charged With Assaulting Child
BOSTON (CBS) --- A former youth football coach from Leominster faced a judge Monday, accused of sexually assaulting a boy and then giving him alcohol.
Benjamin Brause, 36, was arrested at his home in Leominster Friday night, on charges he sexually assaulted a child under 14. According to prosecutors, Brause assaulted his former player over a four-year period. The alleged victim is now 17 years old and a student a Lunenburg High School, prosecutors said.

At his arraignment Monday, a judge ordered Brause held on $15,000 and he must wear a GPS monitoring bracelet.
Brause, an electrician for more than 20 years, coached youth football in Leominster from the 1990s to 2008 and in Lunenburg in 2009 and 2010.
Leominster and Lunenburg police want to talk to anyone who may have known Brause during the time he was coaching. They are investigating whether there are more alleged victims.
Brause is charged with two counts of statutory rape and one count of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14.
Lawyers for Brause asked the judge to impose a $7,500 bail, noting he has lived in the community his whole life.
