Woman Hospitalized Following Shooting In Woodlawn
WOODLAWN, Md. (WJZ)—A woman was hospitalized on Wednesday when police say she was shot in Baltimore County.
It happened just after 11:30 p.m. in the parking lot located in the 6000 block of Townbrook Drive.
According to police, the 18-year-old victim was parked in her vehicle, in the lot of her apartment complex, when she was approached by multiple suspects. The victim reports that the suspects told her to "turn off her car and give them the keys."
Police say the victim attempted to flee by putting the car in reverse, but was shot in the hip by one of the suspects.
The suspects later fled the scene, authorities said.
The woman remains hospitalized, but is expected to survive.
