Woman dead, man injured after double shooting in Northwest Baltimore

BALTIMORE -- A woman was pronounced dead after a shooting in Northwest Baltimore, police said Wednesday. 

Police said that on October 24, around 8:55 p.m., they responded to the 2200 block of Sidney Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.  

When they arrived, they found a 54-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.  She was taken to a local hospital, where she later died.

A 24-year-old man was also found suffering from gunshot wounds.  He was hospitalized and is listed in stable condition.
