Where's Marty? Checking out the pumpkin patch at the The Four Seasons

Where's Marty? Checking out the pumpkin patch at the The Four Seasons downtown

Hi Everyone!

Normally I try to make this blog self-sustaining. Interworlds you can read it, look at the pictures and get the idea of what that day's "Where's Marty?" is about. Then if you want to watch the attached videos, you can. But today I really want you to watch the last segment. The one that runs at about 9:50 AM.  Let me explain why. But first a backstory.

How "WM?" works is this, Me, Matt Wilson, and Bria Jenkins come up with 95% of the "Where's Marty?" segments. Matt and Bria work on the assignment desk and are responsible for a ton of our total news coverage, besides the work they help with on WJZ at 9. Much respect to them!  See the picture below of the WJZ at 9 "A" team!

Occasionally, though, we do get "pitched" an idea from a PR and or Marketing specialist. And some of those ideas DO make for a good "Where's Marty?" segment for you. Other idea's may be a better fit for a different segment of our hour-long presentation. Things like an in-studio interview, or a 'talk back" form a different location. (There are a lot of moving parts in what we put together to make up WJZ at 9.

And such was the case today when Christina Criss of the Four Season's Hotel reached out about a project she was putting together. That is Christina next to K2 taken this AM in a part of the kitchen at the Four Seasons.

Her idea involved a 4th floor deck Pumpkin Patch she put together for the Four Seasons. Also open to the public, it will be open this weekend from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. each day. And the weather will be just fine for a run-down there. The bar there will be open, etc.. A good urban excursion. You can visit the Four Seasons website for more info.

But for my segment that, itself, cannot fill the almost 7 minutes we have each hour. A pro like Christina knows that. So she say's let's also get our Executive Chef Tristan Baker to come on and talk about the easy soups, and other items anyone can make when done with their Halloween Pumpkin!

Now we are talking. Information that YOU the viewer can use. And the 2:30 interview with him in the last  half hour had some great tips that the top Chef at a premier facility can better explain. So if you click on the video that looks like this:

You can get some great ideas. I am so totally going to make the soup and roast the seeds! Easy Peasy; but that is why I really want you to watch the video! And at the end is the answer to a question you may have always gotten wrong. Trust me on this one! Thank you again, "CC!"

Tomorrow it is me, K2 and LOTS of turkeys. A Marty idea. It has "potential." What kind of potential we will all find out together!
