CBS News Baltimore

BALTIMORE -- Ready to cast your ballot for the 2024 general election? If you haven't voted early or by mail-in ballot, you will need to know where you can cast your vote.

Voters in Maryland will be helping elect the next president as well as a U.S. Senator. Baltimore voters are choosing a mayor and weighing in on several important ballot questions.

The polls in Maryland are open on Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Where do I vote?

In Baltimore City alone there are about 180 polling locations, but you can only vote at your assigned spot. Polling locations also occassionally change, so it is important to check each election.

You can find your assigned polling location on the Maryland Board of Elections website. You just have to type in your street number, street name and zip code.

Maryland voters can also find their districts and a full list of polling sites here.

Is it too late to register to vote?

No. You can still register to vote on Election Day at your assigned polling place as long as you provide a valid ID and proof of where you live.

Forms of acceptable ID include a Maryland driver's license, change of address card or utility bill.

How do I see if I am registered to vote?

Maryland voters can see if they are registered through this website on the Maryland Board of Elections.

Type in your first and last name, your date of birth and your zip code.

The voter lookup will show if you are a registered voter, your address, party affiliation and when you registered to vote in Maryland.

The website will also let you know where you need to vote, your voting districts and state representatives, local Board of Elections information, and provide a sample ballot.
