WEATHER BLOG: Still Above Average
The current surface map shows high pressure to our north, and a boundary that previously slipped through that has stalled to our south near the NC/VA border. A light NE wind today around the high to our north has pushed somewhat cooler air into the region. A bit of rain will work its way in during the first part of the night. Winds will shift southwesterly tomorrow and that will put us back into the warm-sector of things. Despite a good deal of clouds tomorrow with a few sunny breaks, we will easily break yet another record high temp! The current standing record is 65, set back in 1949. The forecast for Sunday is 73!
