WEATHER BLOG: Great Weather For Casting Your Ballot!
Weather conditions won't get in the way of Election Day, that's for sure.
We are already above average for this time of year with temps checking in around 68 degrees at BWI as of this writing (1:30 p.m.). The average high for this time of year is around 61 degrees.
Flow out of the south is responsible for bringing us milder conditions; it will also be responsible for bringing a fetch of moisture into the region that will fuel rainfall by the time we get to Wednesday night and Thursday of this week.
The surface map Tuesday reveals that a cold front is slowly beginning to make its push across the Midwest bringing a corridor of showers along with it.
This front, along with a shortwave disturbance moving into the Great Lakes region Wednesday night will bring a round of steady, soaking rain by Thursday. For now, enjoy the dry weather and go vote!
