Walmart Sells Maryland T-Shirts With The Outline Of Massachusetts On Them
There are some states, mostly the larger, more rectangular ones out west, that look pretty similar.
Maryland's borders, however, are pretty distinctive, especially due to the massive bay that cuts it down the middle.
As it turns out, someone, somewhere, confused the shape of the Free State with that of the much smaller Massachusetts.
A Russell Athletic T-shirt for sale at Walmart printed an "M" and the word "Terps" on a red outline of the New England Commonwealth, according to photo taken Twitter user @Samficco.
Dear @Walmart I want to inform you that you're selling UMD shirts with the state of Massachusetts on them. pic.twitter.com/RjzK4CdOHH

This is how Walmart responded to her tweets:
@Samficco The state of Maryland is shaped to dip down on the right hand side which includes the word "Terps" for the team. -Marie

@Samficco On the map, MA and MD are shaped somewhat similarly with the exception of that dip. Thanks for reaching out, Samantha! -Marie

As it turns out, another Twitter user tweeted a similar picture of the mistake last summer:
