Viewing Held For Michael Kahler, Ravens Fan Who Died After Fall At M&T Bank Stadium
ARBUTUS, Md. (WJZ) -- Michael Kahler Jr. was described as a gentle giant with a huge heart.
His death at M&T Bank Stadium last Saturday is being called a tragedy to everyone who knew him.
Kahler died January 11 after stumbling on the steps while walking to his seat during the Ravens game against the Tennessee Titans. He reportedly hit his head on the concrete.
His death raised concerns about the time it took for stadium officials to respond. Witnesses wrote on social media that "it seemed like an eternity" before medical help arrived.

The Ravens, however, said a SAFE Management Team member responded within two minutes and EMTs showed up within three minutes.
Friday, family and friends remembered Kahler at a viewing service.
Jeanine worked with Kahler at Giant Food where he was a manager in Elkridge.
"He was a great guy," she said. "He worked in the meat department and I worked in produce. We worked with him for a couple of years. He was actually about a month older than me, too."
Kahler enjoyed health and fitness, was a son, brother, long-time boyfriend and a friend to hundreds in the area.
"He's going to be missed by many," Janine said. "Family, friends, coworkers. Condolences to his family and friends. I just hope for the best."
