Van Hollen And NIH Head To Warn Against Government Shutdown

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Rep. Chris Van Hollen and National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins plan to warn about the consequences of a potential federal government shutdown.

They have scheduled a news conference for Tuesday at the National Institutes of Health in Rockville.

The two plan to discuss the potential damage to progress on lifesaving research, clinical trials and employee morale.
